ART. You are paying for my creative flare and my style. Your session will be unique because I make sure it is! I spend time planning, drawing inspiration, finding the right locations and props.   Perfecting your collection and end product is summed up into many hours in Lightroom & Photoshop to add my special touches. This is all a part of the package and why you have chosen to work with TJP.

STUFF. You will receive the digital files in your package plus you get personalised touches and in most of my general packages you will receive exquisite fine art prints. The full package really is a full package at TJP, because I want you to take something special away with you to treasure forever.

It isn’t always easy to get the ‘perfect shot’ and it always takes some warming up, but I do my absolute best to help you feel relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera. It is so lovely to receive comments about how I interact with people and that I can make them feel relaxed and at times, special.

I bring light with me wherever I go. I work with Nikon camera equipment and portable lighting equipment.  I can adapt to most lighting situations and portrait style requests. But nothing beats natural light.

My prop collection is HUGE. I wouldn’t even know where to start with listing the items I have collected over the years, so you will just have to come and check them out yourself!

You can expect to be able to view your full online gallery within 4 weeks of your session taking place. At times I can be very busy and my workload can build up. Unfortunately, there is only one of me, so please be patient within this time. I always send a few sneak peek images within the first week so that you can see the magic, as I know you will be excited!

I work every day except Sunday. If Sunday is the only and most suitable option for you, I will do my very best to make myself available. I am happy to schedule a session on a Sunday (if possible) however an additional fee of $85 on top of your package price will apply.

When talking great distances to travel to you or a requested location for our shoot, travel costs will vary between the services and packages I offer. Travel to your destination/location outside of Mildura will be an additional cost of $1.10 rate per kilometre.

I am only human and I know that life can throw us the unexpected at times. I am flexible when working with babies, children and families and most of all, Mother Nature.

As most of my work is scheduled to take place outdoors (because that’s where I do my best work), I realise that reschedules are sometimes necessary.

I have a long list of locations that we can use. I also have some beautiful gardens which we can enquire to book at the hire rate these businesses charge.

For winter please note that I do have a list of gorgeous cottages in Sunraysia which we can hire for your session. Cottage hire fees start from $70 (half day rate approximately).

If you’re interested in making a booking, I will send you my calendar of availability for the upcoming months so that you can book your very own preferred time.

From here we will also book you in for a consultation at my studio which is located in Nichols Point, VIC (my special place by the river).  During your consultation, you will receive all the additional information you need to know.

A $100 non-refundable booking fee will be required upon confirmation which will be invoiced to you for direct deposit payment.  Once you have secured your session date and paid the booking fee, I will begin the process of planning your session.

I also understand that everyone has their own style and that my work and my style may not be your cup of tea. That’s ok, I don’t set out to make everyone happy or perfectly suited to my sessions, because if we were all the same it’d be a boring world, wouldn’t it! But if I have captured your attention, then I would love to give you the TJP experience.

It is important to take time to really think about where you’d like to have photographs taken and why. Think about how your location can best reflect your personalities, family, history or your story – your message.

Alternatively, I can source new locations or revisit previously used locations if you simply like certain backdrops you’ve seen within my galleries. The river and bushland are two of my favourite places, however, I have many spots that I like to use.

I also have a list of locations in and within the Sunraysia area that you may like to hear about. However, I always like to get creative and shoot somewhere new!

Portraits are beautiful in any season; yes, even the winter chills! I enjoy the layers and deep colours of winter, the tones of autumn when the leaves fall, the blossoms and soft tones of spring and the heat and vibrancy of summer – especially our summer sunsets and sunrises.

They are well worth the early mornings and late nights. I don’t have a favourite season, because they all bring something fantastic to the table.

For every style of portraiture photography, the brief is planned differently and I like to get to know each client. I meet every client in person for a compulsory consultation, free of charge. The benefits of a consultation are so we can create warm to each other. Relationship building is very important during the early stages of my work and the people I work with. This is the point where you would receive an information pack including all the finer details about your session/service.

Oh yes please! Being on the road makes my heart sing!

I can make the journey to you! I love to travel. This element of my work has become very special to me because I get to travel to the unknown and capture something beautiful. I get a huge sense of fulfilment when I have travelled to capture your stories, history and generations or simply people living in their own beloved space with picturesque surroundings.

Because you will not only receive a photography session, you will receive a unique experience, filled with authentic moments and imagery. A work of art.

My prop collection is HUGE. I wouldn’t even know where to start with listing the items I have collected over the years, so you will just have to come and check them out yourself!

Trust in me. There are a lot of awkward people in the world.

I will make sure I know all personalities I am dealing with well before our session and I will give you some top tips for (generally) shy/uncomfortable people when it comes to talking ‘camera’ – EEK what a scary word right?! I will also strive to make sure you all feel comfortable on the day and during our time together. This is a skill I have acquired over the past 5 years photographing people, it is one of the most important aspects of working with people – being relatable and approachable.

We can discuss my methods further during a face-to-face consultation.
